Preparing for Fall Fest

Mimg_0299y job comes with some tough days, but I would be lying if I said it didn’t come with some fun ones as well!

As we prepare for our vendor showcase at the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce’s Fall Fest, we decided to invite the Main Entrée team and some friends to a taste test.

img_0271Since I usually work with steak when I’m in the kitchen, it was a nice change of pace (and a tasty one at that) to work with some of our other products. We prepared Chorizo tacos and Chorizo bites with a cream and cilantro topping. I LOVE our Chorizo because of its spice and unique flavor. We also used our fajita chicken to make fajita bites with roasted green peppers. We always need to work in some of our butcher shop roots, so we also prepared both filets and sirloins. We tried out garlic finishing butter as well as a Moroccan spice marinade.img_0293

We like to work as a team, so it was fun to try out each item with different vessels for serving along with different preparation methods and vote on our favorites. You’ll have to stop and see us on October 6th to find out which items made the cut!

We all left A LOT fuller, and much more prepared for our event. I hope to see you there
